Description
As the "Design & Construction Cost Manager - Data Centers" at this fast-paced, high-tech office constructing mega-scale facilities, you will act as an Owner's Representative to provide implementation and rollout of cost management tools to support our confidential technology client.
- Provide end-to-end support to Senior Cost Management and Project Controls teams. Assist multiple sites to effectively implement proprietary cost control management tools and collaborate with Owner's Representatives.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of project controls, scheduling, cost, accounting, document controls, as well as interface with Owner/Client Operations team, and vendors.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively collaborate, manage change, think analytically, and demonstrate leadership skills. Troubleshoot and resolve complex administrative problems.
- Assist with development of training plans and materials to upskill target groups in owners cost management coding structure.
- Modify existing training plans to comply with a GCV approach due to travel requirements.
- Assist in integration of owners cost control system coding alignment to enterprise systems and tools using technology solutions.
- Assist with administration of cross functional meeting routines with Scheduling, Project Management tool developers, Accounting and project management teams and the Project Controls group. Comply with Client's Commercial Operations processes, utilizing templates and submission procedures.
- Assist with development of Owners cost management code control structure.
- Utilize Owner's program management processes, software, systems, and tracking tools.
- Schedule, organize, and attend meetings and video conferences with Client, Project Management Team, and General Contractor; coordinate with personnel as needed. Develop agendas, take minutes, track action items.
- Manage construction-related tasks as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead cost teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees.

- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) from College or University in architecture, engineering, construction management or business.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a construction software, engineering, or project management environment.
- Not required but having some data center infrastructure projects experience is preferred. Experience in mission critical data centers is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, and Calendar, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Calendar). Advanced experience with creating presentations (Google Preso and Microsoft PowerPoint) and scheduling Hangouts video conferencing. Experience in databases and collaboration portals (Microsoft SharePoint and Excel, Google Sheets).
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk products a plus.
- Proficiency in Tableau and Google Data Studio a plus.
- Demonstrate commitment to safety policies and procedures, support the company's HSE management system, and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and objectives.
- Must be a self-starter; able to work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines, and also to work as part of a team and matrix organization, including remote team members.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) or CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building) accreditation preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Requires general knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge in MS Project is helpful. Knowledge with estimating software such as OST preferred. Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Knowledge of leases, contracts, and construction practices preferred.
