Allianz Real Estate (“ARE”) is the captive investment and asset manager for real estate within the Allianz Group. With more than $72 billion of AUM, IPE has ranked ARE as the largest institutional real estate investor in the world. ARE develops and executes tailored investment strategies for the Allianz Group, focusing on direct and indirect equity globally and commercial real estate loans in Europe and the U.S.

Allianz Real Estate of America LLC (”AREoA”) is the U.S.-based hub for Allianz Real Estate. AREoA makes equity and debt investments in the top [25] metropolitan areas in the U.S. and manages an existing portfolio of direct investments alongside joint venture partners, fund commitments and commercial mortgage loans, amounting to nearly $20 billion.

 

Key Responsibilities

- Support Asset Management team in actively asset managing direct and indirect investments for a nationwide portfolio; report to U.S. Head of Asset Management.

- Participate in preparing Investment Committee approval recommendations related to budgets, leases, capital upgrades, financings and refinancings, and dispositions

- Coordinate quarterly data collection (e.g. rent rolls, financials or ad-hoc requests)

- Develop investment models to support major lease, sales, or refinancing strategies

- Review quarterly financials and monitor investment performance (underwritten to actual/budget);

- Analyze investment strategies utilizing Argus and Excel

- Interface with Risk and Portfolio Management, Finance, Acquisitions

 

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

- 1 - 2 years of related real estate work experience, preferably in real estate asset management or portfolio management

- Bachelor’s degree

- Quantitative and analytical skills with expert-level proficiency in ARGUS Enterprise and solid understanding of discounted cash flow modeling in Microsoft Excel

- Understanding of real estate fundamentals, including leasing, valuation, and cash flow projection concepts, as well as capital structures, including basic familiarity with complex capital structures

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong organizational and prioritization skills

- Strong integrity and professionalism

- Attention to detail with superior organizational and time management skills

- Ability to multi-task and work within a fast-paced work environment
