Vice President of Asset Management

We are seeking a Vice President of Asset Management to join our rapidly growing affordable housing development firm. More specifically, the ideal Vice President of Asset Management will:

• Lead, develop and grow the asset management division as the company continues to increase expansion of the portfolio
• Act as the face of company ownership, be able to make sound decisions, and work with third-party management partners to maximize each asset’s full potential in the areas of revenue generation, net operating income, employee engagement, resident satisfaction, capital investment/planning and asset preservation.
• Must be able to provide recommendations and strategies - and develop a plan to implement these changes for enhancements and improvements
• Analyze property financials and metrics to ensure you are maximizing profitability and proactively mitigating risks to minimize problems that could negatively impact the bottom line
• Negotiate significant vendor contracts in pursuit of cost saving efforts
• Conduct due diligence and financial modeling
• Regular inspections of assets

Required:

• 5+ years in multifamily investment, asset management, or property management
• LIHTC / affordable experience a bonus
• Owner mindset when making decisions
• Capital budgeting
• Travel to each asset on a regular basis

Education:

• CAM, CAPS or other property management certification preferred

• Bachelor's degree, preferred
