About the Role

The Senior Analyst  will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the deal process cycle including, but not limited to, underwriting, market analysis, coordination of due diligence, preparation of investment memorandums and executive-level presentations, closing logistics, financing and working with the asset management and construction team on the execution of the investment thesis and asset management reporting.


The role will interface directly with a variety of groups within DoveHill  including Development, Asset Management, and Operations. 


How you will contribute

  • Underwrite a variety of hospitality investment opportunities in the full service and lifestyle categories  using Excel-based underwriting models, including complex cash flow, budget, IRR and fund/partnership waterfall modeling

  • Conduct thorough market analysis for real estate acquisition targets

  • Support the due diligence process across all aspects of the transaction including physical, financial, legal, and operational due diligence

  • Prepare investment memorandums for the firm’s investment committee and outside partners

  • Create executive-level presentations to support the deal process, including preparation of RFP responses and ad hoc presentations to other external and internal parties  

  • Assist in the debt and equity placement process

  • Support the closing process including coordination with title companies on settlement statement and escrow, confirmation of insurance, and obtaining necessary internal approvals

  • Work in collaboration with the asset management and on-property management teams following acquisitions to prepare asset management report and investment reports. 

Who you are

This role also requires the following capabilities:


  • 2-3+ years of experience in direct hospitality or real estate investing

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Entrepreneurial minded and thrives in small team

  • Strong ability to effectively present information

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to draw conclusions from research and data analysis and communicate them effectively

  • Highly motivated, organized, disciplined and self-directed individual who is eager to learn, deals well with uncertainty at times, and is able to multi-task efficiently

  • Ability to work well and communicate effectively with a broad range of individuals and professions and foster working relationships with all members of the team and outside parties

  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic driven by a desire for quality

  • Ability to work and coordinate against firm deadlines

  • Ability to work flexible or extended hours (including possibly on weekends) to accommodate increased workload/projects

  • Ability to assist in the preparation of  investment presentations

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and financial modeling experience

  • Intermediate Microsoft PowerPoint / Apple Keynote skills and presentation-making experience
