Sunrise Affordable Housing Group (“SAH") is a Real Estate Acquisition and Development Firm focused on Affordable Housing. SAH investment process focuses on the acquisition of Multi-family properties with Section 8 or Section 42 restrictions in the South East region and other select states. SAH’s primary goals are to: (1) expand, improve, and preserve the availability of Affordable Housing; and (2) generate outsized returns for our investor.

Sunrise Affordable seeks an Acquisitions & Development Vice President to direct the investment team at SAH. Responsibilities span from deal origination through transaction execution. The position offers a high-level of seniority, independence and material responsibility.

Ideal Candidate: The role is designed for candidates with 5+ years of direct Section 42 Acquisition Rehabilitation development experience.

Location: Position is remote

Compensation: Base salary commensurate with current pay. Performance bonus and deal equity participation is based on contribution.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with deal origination and management of the investment pipeline
  • Underwrite Section 42 investment opportunities including tax credit resyndication development models
  • Prepare and oversee internal investment process including requisite presentations and memos
  • Lead investment execution through negotiating Letters of Intent, Purchase and Sale Agreements and managing the external deal team
  • Responsible to oversee the diligence process including third-party reporting and property management
  • Manage capital markets execution, overseeing the LIHTC application/issuance process and arranging capital sources including tax-exempt bonds
  • Assist in other special projects and assignments as they may arise

Qualifications

  • Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Established track record of sourcing and closing LIHTC transactions
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple live projects
  • Excellent written communication and strong verbal interpersonal skills
  • 5+ years of work experience in Affordable Housing
