Our client is the Commercial Real Estate Finance group within the investment bank of a premier European-based global financial services institution. Their real estate group is consistently ranked among the top-10 global and US CMBS bookrunners, and they consistently look to grow their platform and expand into new products.
Our relationship with our client dates back to 2012 and we provide a dedicated, integrated, on-site team within all facets of their group. This role is to join our dedicated team sitting on-site, working seamlessly with our client.
We are looking for an individual that is seeking an exciting opportunity in the asset management of real estate loans including office, industrial, hotels, retail, multifamily, and other types of commercial real estate. Candidate would ideally have 1-2 years of experience working with a third party loan servicer. The asset management effort at Barclays is a very hands-on role and will involve all aspects of syndication, loan servicing, and asset management providing an excellent opportunity for learning and career growth.
Loan Syndication & Distribution
- Prepare investor materials.
- Collect and compile loan documentation and closing statements for each sale.
Financial Reporting
- Review all packages to follow up and collect missing items and coordinate dissemination to Co-Lenders.
- Identify questions and follow up with Borrower on open issues and questions.
- Calculate and review loan and guarantor covenant testing.
- Barclays Asset Management Platform – upload financial reporting into a UK cloud based asset management reporting system.
Servicing
- Collect rate reset notices and update the interest calculation model to reflect any changes. Cross-check amounts in remittance reports received and document servicer fees each month.
- Review quarterly reporting provided by third party servicer to confirm that the financial reporting is in line with the Barclays reporting and tracking system.
Annual Reporting and Other
- Site Inspections – conduct or commission third party annual site inspections.
- Budget Review – review and approve the annual budget provided by the Borrower for the following fiscal year.
