SUMMARY:

Sonnenblick-Eichner Company () is widely recognized for its expertise in marketing institutional-grade commercial real estate for financing and sale for all product types including hospitality, office, industrial, retail and multifamily. Based in Beverly Hills, California, the company specializes in arranging structured debt and equity financing for acquisition, construction and permanent loans, interim and mezzanine financing as well as joint-venture and preferred equity transactions on a nationwide basis. Since its inception in 2000, Sonnenblick-Eichner Company has completed transactions valued in excess of $25 billion; their average transaction size is approximately $50 million.

 

Sonnenblick-Eichner Company is currently seeking an Associate to be located in their Beverly Hills office. The ideal candidate will be a Self-Starter with a strong technical background in real estate analysis, coupled with exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Associate will perform financial analyses and market research, prepare investment or financing memoranda, assist in the marketing of debt and equity financing transactions, manage the due diligence process and evaluate potential investment and financing proposals. He/she will work directly with a partner of the firm and build an extensive network of client and lending relationships.

 

  • Capital Markets Assessment.
  • Transaction Structuring.
  • Financing Alternatives.
  • Valuation and IRR/NPV Analysis.
  • Financial and Market Analyses.
  • Lease reviews.

 

SKILLS:

Candidate should have strong writing, analytical, technical, and personal skills that will lead to success in a dynamic team environment, including:

 

  • Minimum of three to five years of relevant business experience in commercial real estate investment and/or analysis.
  • Undergraduate degree required, with study in real estate, finance, economics or accounting, MBA/MA a plus.
  • A thorough understanding of financial modeling, including producing cash flow models, cash-on-cash yield, IRR analysis, joint venture equity waterfalls, preferred equity structures and discounted cash flow valuations.
  • Proven track record of identifying, underwriting, and acquiring investment opportunities.
  • A strong ability to analyze and understand financial statements and a general understanding of credit and capital markets.
  • Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Strong research, due diligence, and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, ARGUS and Photoshop is required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare accurate and appropriate documentation.
  • Personable, outgoing personality with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels is required.

COMMENTS: Total compensation will be based on the experience and capabilities of the candidate.
