SUMMARY

 

Framework Group, LLC, a Tampa-based multi-family development, general contracting, and consulting company, is seeking a Senior Development Associate to join a lean organization focused on creating a diverse and dynamic team.  

 

An entrepreneurial organization consisting of 8 individuals, Framework has become one of the most active multi-family developers in Florida since its founding in 2010.  By focusing on excellence in design, branding, project capitalization and execution, Framework has built a robust portfolio of exceptional projects in high-growth submarkets throughout the state.  Framework’s pipeline includes 1,400 stabilized units, 1,600 units under construction, and 1,000 units in pre-development.  

 

The Senior Development Associate will join Framework at an exciting time in its growth, and this individual will immediately play an integral role in both managing existing business and delivering future opportunities.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Under the guidance of the Senior Vice President of Development, source new opportunities on behalf of the firm and lead the execution of Framework development projects.  Specific tasks to include:

  • Perform proforma financial analysis and carry out underwriting tasks relating to project costs, supply/demand dynamics, and analysis of competitive properties.
  • Track and analyze economic news and data, multi-family industry metrics, and other indicators to identify new opportunities in terms of submarkets and product types.
  • Manage projects and lead all tasks associated with due diligence, pre-development, design, construction, and lease-up phases.
    • Build and manage project budgets and schedules.
    • Develop new project concept, branding, and design.
    • Coordinate project approval and permitting processes.
    • Source and manage 3rd party providers including architects, engineers, consultants, and general contractors.
    • Visit projects regularly to evaluate progress and resolve technical issues. Represent Framework Group as Owner/Developer through construction. Coordinate and attend regular project meetings, evaluate construction progress on-site, resolve technical issues, and ensure Owner/designer intent and specifications are met.
    • Work with marketers and property managers to develop project marketing strategies, lease-up, and transition from development to stabilization.
  • Create and deliver quarterly project presentations for stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development internal systems, templates, and other means of standardization and data logging to drive improvement of Framework’s operational efficiency.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

Required:

  • Experience managing or participating in the execution of construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional capacity for problem solving and collaboration.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where roles within the organization will shift and evolve over time.  
  • Capacity to work autonomously and ability to manage through change and ambiguity.
  • Motivation for continuous learning and self-improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Urban Planning, Engineering, Real Estate, Finance, Business or other related field.

 

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of similar professional experience, including multi-family industry experience.
  • Master’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Urban Planning, Engineering, Real Estate, Finance, Business or other related field.
