We are currently seeking a well-versed Real Estate Manager to engage in all operational and financial aspects of a significant commercial office building complex in Novato, California. The successful candidate will confidently assume leadership for this exciting project; adroitly direct the dedicated staff; engage with a wide array of property participants, while supporting the financial and occupancy objectives of our client, a global institutional investment firm.
Staff support includes an Associate Real Estate Manager, Chief Building Engineer, a dedicated Property Accountant and reports to a Senior Vice President located in the Bay Area.
Responsibilities and Duties
In consultation with Asset Manager ensure that property and investment objectives are met.
Diligently manage client, staff, tenant and vendor relationships.
Coordinate all facility functions with adherence to approved budgets.
Produce monthly financial reports in conjunction with property accounting team.
Develop annual operating and capital budgets.
Prepare Common Area Maintenance (CAM) estimates and administer yearly reconciliation.
Coordinate facility interface with client’s construction managers.
Support efforts of owners’ leasing brokers.
Foster peerless tenant relations to positively impact renewal opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
CPM, RPA, CCIM professional designation or candidacy preferred.
5+ year’s progressively responsible commercial property management experience.
Particular emphasis on Class A and/or creative office projects.
Previous capital project and tenant improvement management background desired.
Demonstrated record of achievement in complex real estate settings.
Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
Advanced computer software proficiency (MRI, Yardi, MS Office, AVID, Argus, etc.).
IMPORTANT EXCEPTION:
Please note that residential sales experience and multi-family on-site property management experience is not relevant to this role and will not be considered in evaluating candidates’ suitability as described above.
