Development Associate
 
Caddis Healthcare Real Estate is currently seeking to hire a Development Associate in Dallas, TX to join the companies Development group. The Associate will directly support the Development Director in pursuit of new business and development projects which includes identifying and originating opportunities, marketing and sales, leasing, site acquisition, financial analysis, and project management support as directed. This person will work closely with the regional team as well as coordinate with national business development efforts and with the marketing team in all aspects of the healthcare real estate development and acquisition process. This position will largely be focused on Texas, so Texas experience is preferred but not required.  
 
Responsibilities:

  • Assist Senior Management with new business development including:
    • Calling on senior management of hospitals, health systems and large physician practices to identify development, redevelopment and acquisition opportunities
    • Maintaining relationships with prospective build-to-suit clients and tenants
    • Attending regional conferences and meetings to meet prospective clients and tenants
    • Maintaining relationships with regional brokerages and other intermediaries
    • Analyzing regional market to identify potential markets and sites for development
  • Analyze regional universe of prospects and propose prioritization and pursuit targets and tactics
  • Coordinate regional business development strategy and activities
  • Solicit Requests for Proposals from hospitals, health systems and other prospective tenants
  • Coordinate RFP responses and proposal development with input from others as needed
  • Research and identify potential land acquisition sites for development
  • Prepare financial analysis and project feasibility analysis for development projects
  • Maintain Salesforce database of regional prospects and intermediaries
  • Establish and maintain database of regional land comps, lease comps and sales comps
  • Coordinate preparation of marketing materials, presentation materials and proposals
  • Assist development team in the site planning of new land acquisitions
  • Assist development team in soliciting, evaluating and engaging development team members (i.e., architect, general contractor, consultants)
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to assist in planning and execution of regional marketing events
  • Work with entire regional development team in the planning, design, underwriting, investment committee approval, acquisition, development, construction, financing, leasing, and management of projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience Required: 

  • An undergraduate degree in business, economics, finance, healthcare, marketing, real estate or similar
  • An MBA or graduate degree in business or management is preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrable success in consultative business development and sales in consulting, financing, investments, real estate or other complex business solutions or similar
  • Real estate development or investment experience preferred, ideally in healthcare real estate
  • Strong track record of success, strong sense of confidence and determination to achieve results
  • Strong interpersonal skills accompanied with a proven track-record of participating on successful teams
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills – both verbal and written
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to be self-directed to accomplish tasks and goals
