JOB SUMMARY
Working under close supervision, the Location Analyst will help occupier clients develop real estate and location strategies rooted in the client's business strategy and operational needs. Real estate and location strategies will consider factors such as cost and availability of specific occupational skill sets, operating cost structures which may vary by location, as well as organizational growth plans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze data sources to identify the cost and availability of target labor including analysis of occupational skill sets, industry employment and competing employers in target geographies.
Retrieves and organizes data into required reporting formats to provide a basis for location/scenario comparison and evaluation.
Prepares detailed location strategy documents, outlining client needs, analysis approach, analysis results and recommended next steps.
Assists in preparation of special studies, analyses, and recommendations in areas such as location selection, growth strategies and space requirements over time, with translation to practical real estate and location strategies.
Uses mapping and geo-analytical tools to help analyze and visual location strategies.
Evaluates analytical processes and recommends ways to improve efficiency and/or effectiveness.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to co-workers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in a business-related field. Some prior related work experience preferred but not required.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information to supervisors and finance management.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires knowledge of basic financial terms and concepts is preferred
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and visualize data and the ability to accurately explain/report activity in verbal and written communications. Requires excellent analytical and presentation skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). ESRI GIS capabilities and/or Tableau skills preferred, but not required. Strong work ethic and adaptable.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines.
