Insurance Risk Analyst

Position Summary

This position performs a variety of duties related to assessing risks, determining proper insurance coverage and managing the claims process and overall insurance program.  Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify risk exposure and analyze insurance needs to provide optimum coverage, costs and claim settlements
• Conduct regular policy reviews, research and compile loss trends
• Work with insurance brokers to obtain quotes for new policies and coordinate policy renewals
• Present quotes and data to executive team and principals
• Manage the entire claims process through resolution and settlement
• Work with construction and other vendors to ensure proper completion of repairs
• Work with managers to process incident reports timely
• Work with onsite property teams on resident damage waivers
• Perform special projects, administrative duties and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Insurance experience 3 – 5 years
• Familiarity with all aspects of insurance including workers compensation and business liability
• Multifamily property management insurance experience highly preferred
• Familiar with construction and renovation projects
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong attention to detail
• Organized
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently
• Team-oriented with strong work ethic
