Description
BioMed Realty is looking for an experienced Asset Management professional, based in San Diego headquarters, to lead the Asset Management team in the strategic planning and analysis regarding all aspects of asset-level performance and outlook.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate internally among Operations, Leasing, Development, FP&A and Accounting teams to develop and review asset-level leasing and capital improvement plans
- Understand the dynamic impact from market fundamentals, tenant quality and other factors to help drive value creation
- Oversee the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting at the asset level; understand and communicate significant variances resulting from revised business assumptions
- Manage analytics to monitor rents, occupancy, concessions and capital, tracking performance trends relative to investment objectives, including lease transaction structuring working with the in-house leasing team
- Play a material role in communicating and working with the Company’s executives and sponsor teams including recurring valuation, reporting and other asset management tasks
- Manage and develop the growing Asset Management team
- Support the due diligence and execution related to disposition and financing transactions
Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s or more advanced degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Consulting, Real Estate, Finance, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of related experience in commercial real estate, including 5 years in asset management, FP&A or strategy planning
- Proven leadership and organizational skills with high standards for accuracy and results, including demonstrated managerial experience
- Ability to prepare, review and analyze cash flow projections, and articulate business drivers impacting financial projections
- Advanced skills in Argus, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong business judgement, problem-solving and communication skills
