Multifamily Lead Superintendent

Description

The Lead Superintendents role is to manage day-to-day construction activities and supervise field personnel and subcontractors as required to successfully complete the project on schedule. The Lead Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring quality work that is consistent with standards set forth in the projects contract documents. Furthermore, the Lead Superintendent is expected to oversee trade contractors to ensure good construction safety practices are being followed and project site cleanliness is being maintained.

Essential Duties

  • Project location will be onsite within a construction trailer. At times you will be requested to come to the Construction Office located in Los Angeles, CA depending on company needs
  • 5+ years of proven working experience as a Construction Superintendent in Multifamily Development/Ground Up and should have knowledge of all aspects including shoring and sub terrarium podium concrete
  • The Lead Superintendent will report directly to Director of Construction and will work with other members of the GH Palmer team
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle pressure
  • Strong focus on quality
  • Manage day-to-day activities to meet project milestones and ultimately meet project completion date
  • Review and have a full understanding of all project construction documents including but not limited to RFIs and submittals.
  • Knowledge of current codes a plus
  • Use of PlanGrid software to access all Construction Documents for the project
  • Use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Conduct meetings onsite as necessary with and not limited to Trade Contractors, Design Team, Consultants and GH Palmer team
  • Review and approve Trade Contractor invoices
  • Inform of project delays, communication issues, safety issues
  • Maintain weekly project reports of construction progress including written and photography
  • Attend all necessary project meeting, whether onsite or offsite
  • Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals
  • Walking and standing for long periods of time during the project work day
