Director/AVP Research - High Yield

Realty Income is looking to hire a team leader to execute High-Yield Research and Analytics.  This hands-on role will have significant visibility to senior leaders in the organization by developing and presenting High-Yield insights and recommendations to drive commercial real estate acquisition and portfolio decisions.

What you will work on day to day:

• Development of in-depth analytics and reports of prospective tenants (including company overviews, corporate financial condition, store level P&L, pro-forma projections, industry and competitive data, credit, etc.).
• Utilize internal and external data to perform analysis.
• Both written and verbal presentation and defense of investment thesis.
• Manage information database of tenants and industries.
• Proactively monitor news and industry changes to update senior executives of all material events or potential risks to the portfolio.
• Attend due diligence trips to access tenant’s operations and management team and financial sponsors, in addition to gain an understanding of tenants. 
• Mentor and develop new associate with the team.
• Support Chief Strategy Officer in vetting non-traditional assets and growth avenues.

What we need from you:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Graduate degree a plus.
• 10 or more years of experience of analyzing private or public company’s financials.
• Experience writing detailed reports and developing recommendations on various companies and industries.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Exemplary presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas to large groups, senior management, and Board of Directors.
• Extensive knowledge of financial statement analysis.
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Excel. MS Office skills a must.
• Ability to execute in ambiguous situations and take the lead without explicit instruction.
• Attention to detail and work with minimal oversight.
• Thirst for learning new concepts.
