Property/Financial Accountant

Ackerman & Co. is seeking an Accountant to support the Property Management Accounting team.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Prepare and distribute monthly financial and job cost reporting for various projects and partnerships
• Review lease input, billing adjustments, and monthly tenant billings
• Review of annual and/or quarterly CAM, CPI, Real Estate Tax and Insurance billings
• Review Percentage-rent sales calculations
• Assist in reconciling tenant balances and handle tenant-billing questions
• Maintain depreciation and amortization schedules annually and /or quarterly
• Assist with external audits and budget preparation
• Review FASB13 rental adjustments and maintain information in MRI
• Prepare monthly bank statement and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and enter monthly journal entries
• Review payables for coding and review check-selection report for payments

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Commercial real estate experience preferred
• BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or Business-related field experience
• Experience with Yardi or MRI accounting system preferred
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with the ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivots, lookups a plus)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
