Description


Clear Sky Capital Inc., a commercial real estate private equity firm with over $1.5 billion in assets under management, is seeking an Analyst/Associate to join the investment team. The company has an entrepreneurial environment and is growing rapidly over its four investment platforms – self-storage, multifamily, manufactured housing parks, and express car wash.


The role will be responsible for handling various tasks for multiple entities under management’s direction including investment research, transaction due diligence, market research, underwriting and financial analysis across the firm’s various asset types. The role will support the investment team in all aspects of the acquisition, development, asset management, equity/debt financing, and disposition of assets.


The Analyst will take ownership of their areas of responsibility while paying significant attention to detail and documentation. Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt will be key to this role.


Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assist senior members of the investment team in the identification, evaluation, and monitoring of investments across multiple real estate sectors
  • Create pro forma cash flow projections and financial models
  • Prepare investment memos, offering memoranda, supplementary marketing materials, and other deal-related investment material
  • Collaborate with other internal teams including asset management and accounting
  • Research and maintain database of economic and real asset specific market data/metrics
  • Serve as a resource for various ad hoc projects

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint is mandatory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external parties
  • A highly organized individual with the ability to multitask, strong analytical skills and extreme attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and strong problem-solving skills
  • Preferably have strong math, financial modeling skills, and understanding of real estate financial modeling concepts such as IRR, DCF and NPV
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university (concentration in finance, accounting, and/or real estate is preferred but not required)
