Career Specifics:
The Property Accountant is a key function that adds to the organization’s ability to provide excellent client services to investors, management, and other functional areas of the organization.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Minimum 1-3 years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of Yardi Accounting software (preferred), or comparable software.
- Experience performing: Accrual and cash basis property accounting, cash management and owner distributions, recovery methods (gross-ups, exclusions, reconciliations), various lease types (triple net, base year, expense stop and gross).
What you'll be doing:
- Lead month-end close process with compilation and analysis of financial statements.
- Analyze all balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Generate annual work papers and support schedules for outside CPA firms for year-end tax returns.
- Partner with operations to complete annual budget, reforecast, cash flow projections, and financial reports.
- Advise management and owners about cash management issues.
- Lease Administration – Provide analytical information to operations on leases. Ensure that all tenant information is properly set up.
- Complete annual expense reconciliation.
- Create management reports.
- Assist with variance analysis.
