The Director of Debt Asset Management will lead Stonehill’s day to day asset management activities with a primary focus on loan level performance review, portfolio analysis, and reporting. The Director will work closely with the asset management team, internal servicing group, underwriting team, borrowers, and other key stakeholders. The position requires strong written and verbal communication, as well as excellent interpersonal, analytical, and time management skills. Attention to detail is crucial.


This role is based in Buckhead (Atlanta), GA 


Essential functions: 

  • Manage and monitor asset performance relative to business plan and oversee risk rating process.
  • Create and analyze real and prospective loan return analyses to be used to make informed investment decisions and to calculate realized loan level returns.
  • Organize and analyze loan data including payment histories, escrow analyses, and other reporting needs.
  • Work with borrowers to maintain loan information and reporting data, and address loan requests.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new investments.
  • Oversee and prepare reporting on each asset/fund to Investment Committee on a quarterly basis.
  • Develop and direct both internal and external team to uphold Stonehill standards and stellar reputation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, real estate or related field.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in real estate debt asset management
  • Familiarity with hotel reporting including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, marketing reports, and STR reports.
  • Strong communications (verbal and written), organization and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional project management skills. Effective in prioritizing work and following through on commitments relating to a wide variety of tasks.
  • High degree of initiative and ability to work effectively in teams or independently.
  • Comfortable aggregating and interpreting data from a wide variety of sources.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Collaborative approach with business partners at all levels of the organization.
