Description
- Accountable for planning and implementation of the processes, resources and compliment of staff necessary to efficiently operate and maintain their facilities. This includes the preparation of annual work plans and other input to support facility life cycle asset management process.
- Accountable for maintaining the facility, commensurate with allotted resources, at a level that is compatible with the mission of the facility, its occupants and PNNL.
- Management (either direct line or matrixed arrangement from resource providers) of maintenance, engineering, craft, construction, janitorial, floor service, grounds, transportation, operations, regulatory compliance, and other personnel supporting their assigned facilities.
- Management of facility operating budgets up to $10M or more annually depending on assignment.

Ensure compatibility of R&D operations with the engineered capability of the facility, its systems and services. Works with the appropriate line managers to resolve incompatibility issues.
- Serve as the Building Emergency Director, including the preparation and maintenance of building-specific emergency preparedness processes. The Building Manager is also accountable for management of Off -Normal Event response and reporting processes, including facilitating critiques associated with their facilities.
- Management of the Core Team process for all work in assigned facilities, and ensuring that work is prioritized, scheduled and performed in a manner that limits the impact on occupants, and meets customer and PNNL requirements.
- In Sequim, the incumbent may also perform the duties of a Planner, Construction Manager and TOR.
