Responsibilities include:

 

  • Coordinate and oversee outside consultants and vendors to ensure projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. 
  • Schedule different phases of the project based on established deadlines. 
  • Identify problems, offer possible solutions, and decide if the issue must be escalated for resolution.
  • Apply knowledge of Construction Management and/or Architectural principles and practices, where applicable.
  • Develop scopes of work and prepare RFPs for consultants and contractors.
  • Inspect and supervise the inspection of construction projects, while in progress and upon completion, for adherence to plans, specifications and NYC Department of Buildings guidelines.
  • Report on progress and provide regular updates to upper management.
  • Ensure compliance by all Vendors & Consultants to insurance requirements.
  • Process invoices and coordinate with accounting department.
  • Maintain departmental tracking logs for Project and Vendor status.
  • Prepare agendas and minutes for weekly departmental meetings.
  • Coordinate Permits and Approvals processes with municipal agencies.
  • Produce basic architectural floor plans & sketches to convey design intent to upper management and outside vendors and consultants.
  • Periodic site visits to portfolio properties to coordinate and monitor new development and capital improvement projects.

 

  • Minimum requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in preferred field of study:  Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management
    • Four (4) years of related experience
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
    • Understanding of the construction business and the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
