Dornin Investment Group (DIG) is a fully integrated real estate investment and development company with offices in Laguna Beach, CA and Las Vegas, NV. DIG is an opportunistic, value add investor focusing on investment and development of Office, Multifamily, Industrial/Flex, Hospitality and Luxury Residential projects in CA, NV, AZ, CO and TX. DIG is seeking a professional with a design background to join its team as a Project Manager overseeing ground up development, design, tenant improvements, capital improvements and restoration/renovation from early concepts to completion across its portfolio. The candidate must possess the necessary education, experience and personality to manage the day to day as well as the interpersonal skills to collaborate with DIG s in-house design, property management, finance and leasing teams. Job Type: Full-Time This position will directly report to the COO   RESPONSIBILITIES including but not limited to:
  • Solicit competitive bids and perform bid analysis and comparison. Work closely with in-house design team to source materials, assist in design concepts, price and manage finish specifications.
  • Source design materials.
  • Assist in the design process. CAD and or sketch up experience isn t required but is desired.
  • Must be comfortable with reviewing, negotiating and administering contracts.
  • Value Engineering.
  • Must be willing and able to travel. Perform on-site walk-throughs to ensure contract performance, safety compliance and quality control.
  • Interface with DIG management, design team, property management and engineering staff to ensure that all construction and design related items are coordinated and run smoothly.
  • Assist with decision making taking into consideration both schedule and budget.
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors and coworkers.
  • Resolve issues in a timely manner. Communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  • Must be able to multitask multiple projects at one time.
  • Formulate and Execute project schedules.
  • Administer document control procedures for all construction and interior design related documents.
  • Manage the permits and Certificates of Occupancy.
  • Manage and update project budgets.
SKILLS, CAPABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial construction/renovation and or interior design.
  • Degree in one of the following disciplines is preferred: Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design or other related fields
  • Ability to read and understand MEP, Structural, Civil and Architectural plans and drawings.
  • Construction/ Field and or Interior Design experience and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Required to travel domestically to project sites
  • Must possess reliable transportation with current registration, valid driver s license and insurance
  • Must be a strategic thinker, multi-task oriented individual with strong problem resolution and leadership capabilities.
  • Self-motivated and results oriented individual.
  • Strong time management skills and highly adaptable to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail
  • Must be a team player and maintain a quality team environment.
