RXR is currently looking for a Project Executive.


The Project Executive is responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of the construction-management project; as well as mentoring multiple Project Managers.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•Guide multiple jobs and multiple job teams operationally in each phase including pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction services
•Direct and supervise work of project administration, project superintendents, and engineers to establish operational priorities and maintain satisfactory relationships with owners, subcontractors, unions, etc.; work in a team environment with other Project Managers, Engineers and Superintendents.
•Identifies specific client risk exposure and develops and presents innovative coverage solutions in support of existing and new business growth
•Collaborates with broker and marketing department to develop and implement marketing and leasing strategies
•Develops and manages client relations.
•Primary interface with project partners, lenders and agencies.
•Provide leadership, mentoring and direction to the project team
•Leads by example by demonstrating and sharing with all lines of business the importance of best practice.

QUALIFCATIONS:

•Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture discipline, specialized courses in construction management or equivalent experience and training preferred.
•Minimum 12-18 years’ experience with an established construction firm.
•Vast knowledge of all trades: scope, time frames/field execution, typical missed scope/exposures
•Understand MEPS systems and components, and be able to scope and analyze MEPS bids
•Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
•Strong organization skills and the ability to prioritize under pressure of competing deadlines
•Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package
•Knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, industry standards and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies.
•Skill in management and administrative experience.
•Skill in written and oral communication.
•Proven leadership ability.
•Experience in administering documentation, payments and staff on a range of project types.
•Proven record of successful project schedule and budget control.
•Experience in delegating and managing the project staff. 
•Excellent sub-contractor relations and management.
•Demonstrates excellent written and oral communications and team skills. 
•Must be dependable, consistent, diligent, and thorough. 
•Creative and resourceful in completing tasks accurately in a compressed timeframe. 
•Applies knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in construction field. 
•Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
•Demonstrates professionalism and pride of ownership in the completion of assigned tasks. 
•Provide leadership in business judgment and all financial and profitability aspects of projects under your jurisdiction.
•Set appropriate milestones and assign staff qualified to handle the scope and complexity of the project.
•Work closely with clients, owners, architects and subcontractors to nurture relationships in order to provide highest level of service for clients.
•Provide oversight in managing all necessary resources throughout the entire project from start-up through closeout and ensure that the Owners expectations, budgetary and profitability objectives are exceeded. 
•Oversight of projects at a high level from beginning to end including budget, costs, unexpected events, general performance, and overall progress against plan. 
•Ensure that the day-to-day operations of projects are transitioned effectively to Project Managers and Superintendents from Preconstruction when work commences in the field. 
•Mentor, train and coach staff to perform to or exceed company standards. 
•Project Management, Quality Review and Project Close-Out; responsible for ensuring that Projects achieve budget and profitability objectives. This includes:
•Monitor and evaluate Project Manager and Superintendent staff assignments. 
•Accurately forecast project performance. 
•Visit sites regularly to monitor project performance, schedule, and expenditures with project staff, highlight potential challenges and provide leadership in responding creatively to bring projects in on schedule and under budget, where feasible. 
•Attend all scheduled meetings necessary to monitor and manage project profitability. 
•Attend owner and project meetings, maintain continuous client contact to gauge performance perceptions and communicate relevant information to Project Team.
