This position is for a Senior Director of Product Management for Global Marketing and Research. The successful candidate will work with the Global Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Managing Director of Global Research to set strategy and manage digital and technology products across the globe. Responsibilities include driving transformation, focusing on building a high-performance digital innovation and technology development culture, ensuring a single experience-driven roadmap, and working closely with the management team to rationalize and build capabilities that will excite our customers. Primarily responsible for managing a team of Product Managers and Designers who are delivering digital products in a fast-paced dynamic environment with an entrepreneurial mind-set.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, drive and maintain strategy for platforms and integrations that support Marketing, Research, Location Intelligence and Labor Analytics working with the Global CMO and Executive Managing Director of Global Research.
  • The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who possesses strong product management experience in order to lead the creation of products from ideation through delivery.
  • Build strong business partnerships with other companies in fields related to commercial real estate, digital and technology to forge business partnerships.
  • Act as a thought leader for the overall product vision plus align strategy and delivery roadmap.
  • Possess strong technology skills to imagine the art of the possible to drive innovative platforms. This includes staying abreast of trends in Commercial Real Estate and other industries.
  • Develop and drive internal and external facing product strategy working with key executives.
  • Mature the Product Management practice within our service tower and across CBRE as a whole.
  • Lead a strong team of Product Managers and Designers to define and deliver compelling digital experiences and products.
  • Form strong internal partnerships with different lines of business and drive work through influence, where needed.
  • Drive critical initiatives using agile methodologies, working closely with business and digital product managers, functional leads, customer experience/design and technology teams.
  • Maintain market awareness for competitors, market conditions plus key and potential customers.
  • Strong background in Design Thinking, including the ability to mentor a team of Designers to collaborate with the Engineering teams driving Marketing and Research products.
  • Own and proactively identify issues and drive resolutions end-to-end.
  • Produce reporting and tracking documentation to monitor progress and quality as needed.
  • Developing client journeys and related artifacts to tell the client experience story.
  • Challenge existing processes; envision and implement better ones.
  • Build collaborative and relational equity; become the evangelist of our Product Management practice to support both internal stakeholders as well as the client.
  • Actively manage overall product and take appropriate actions to improve efficiencies & performance (revenue, retention & growth, customer satisfaction).
  • Monitor P&L position of products relative to business plans and corporate projections and create recovery plans as required in conjunction with other management.
  • Develop business cases for potential opportunities (partnerships, product solutions), including market sizing, market segmentation, financial analysis (ROI), and pricing. Influence to gain support and alignment.
  • Ensure product outcomes align to annual ROI and revenue growth goals.
  • Responsible for oversight of product level capital planning process.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manages the planning, organization, and controls for critical functional areas.
  • May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reporting team.
  • Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources.
  • Leads and supports team in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention.
  • Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's RISE values in everything you do.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
  

  • Minimum 12 years of Product Management and related experience. 
  • Consulting or Strategy experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields. MBA is preferred.
  • Extensive experience working in Agile Scrum or Kanban.
  • Established track record of successful delivery in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated strong ability to analyze problems, design solutions, and communicate effectively and confidently (both verbal and written) with relevant stakeholders to gain buy-in.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and proven ability to structure problems and develop analytical frameworks.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility based upon evolving market dynamics and stakeholder requirements.
  • Awareness and practical understanding of current technologies, and their application and relevance to digital and overall client experiences.
  • Experience with Design Thinking and customer research.
