RESPONSIBILITIES
Under direct supervision, acts as a support person for a laboratory and conducts the review of certificates, tests reports related to the Good Practice (GxP) pipette or similar instrument certificates; examines and compares reports performed by third-party service providers against customer requirements for pipettes supported by LIS (Laboratory Instrument Services) across client sites.
Performs secondary review of GxP pipette or similar instrument certificates; tests report(s) against customer's requirements.
Involved in stocking and inventory of lab chemicals.
Serves as a liaison with third-party service providers; ensures customer requirements are met based on review of GxP pipette or similar instrument certificates/tests records provided by third-party service provider(s).
Archives GxP certificates/test reports in accordance with archive and retention procedures.
Serves as a intermediary between third-party providers and procurement; ensures valid purchase order (PO) numbers are in place.
Performs required activities to ensure invoices are processed for payment to third party for pipettes supported by LIS (Laboratory Instrument Services).
Provides training support and backup to department personnel for the review of GxP pipette or similar certificates/test reports; processes invoices associated with pipette service by third-party service provider(s).
Ensures procedures are followed to initiate changes that affect GxP pipettes.
Assists in audit preparation; retrieves documentation for inspection purposes.
Uses computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to administer closure, storage of work orders and documentation in accordance with GxP and GDP practices
Performs other duties as assigned.
Responds to customer inquires.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required and a minimum of two years of related experience or equivalent work experience. Previous customer service or administration experience preferred.
Must hold strong customer service and organizational skills.
Basic data entry skills.

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.
Experience with Desktop publishing, Microsoft Office Suite and Online Help.
Knowledge of GxP and understanding of a lab instrument services environment.
Experience working with databases and/or systems.
Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
