Senior Analyst Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst will be responsible for providing analytical and operational support to the acquisition and property management teams. The Senior Analyst will have proficiency in modeling to be able to provide this information with significant attention to detail. The candidate must be a self-starter, highly detail-oriented individual with enough real estate experience to develop underlying assumptions.
The Senior Analyst will primarily be responsible for:
- Working alongside the acquisitions team to research, model, and underwrite prospective investments, including hospitality, single and multi-family housing for rent, condominium and retail developments. The models will include revenue projections, cost projections and full returns with promote structures. The information for the models will be supported by comparable property studies to verify rental information, sales pricing and unit costs.
- Creation of development budgets and project proforma models on development projects including ongoing analysis of budget to actual construction variances on a monthly/quarterly basis.
- Reviewing ongoing operating reports and presenting variance analysis on performance as compared to initial underwriting and market conditions.
- Provide quarterly investor reports on status of construction and operational projects.
- Provide ongoing alternative analysis on sale, refinance, or hold decisions for projects as needed.
- Assisting in due diligence analysis, as needed
- Assembling investor and lender memorandums
- Preparing and updating monthly capital calls for existing projects
- Assisting in zoning analysis for prospective deals
Successful Candidates should possess the following:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate finance, investing, development, business/construction management or similar field (hospitality/multifamily acquisitions and development experience preferred)
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Development, Business, Real Estate, or related discipline (required)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Word
- Strong quantitative, financial analysis and modeling skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are absolute requirements
- Capability to self-manage and prioritize work with a broad view of goals and objectives, as well as work under pressure to meet project deadlines
Salary, Term and Location
This is a full-time, salaried position located in CPD’s office in Park City, Utah. Compensation is dependent on experience.
