Financial Asset Management Analyst (New York)

Andover Properties is seeking to hire a Financial Asset Management Analyst to join its asset management team in New York. We are one of the largest private owner-operators of self-storage in the U.S. and invest on behalf of institutional capital partners and high net worth individuals. Our self-storage portfolio totals over 13 million rentable square feet across 165 facilities in 18 states

Responsibilities

  • Support the Asset Management team in regular asset oversight and analytical assistance
  • Review and analyze proposed leasing transactions; draft commercial leases and track comprehensive leasing stats.  Maintain listings of commercial spaces on third-party sites
  • Assist in preparing monthly updates on financial and operational performance of the properties, highlighting any notable variances, with explanations of variances
  • Coordinate with other departments and respond to requests for property-level data and metrics to report to investors and lenders
  • Participate in the preparation of annual asset level budgets and reforecasts
  • Provide reporting and analytical support to senior management as requested
  • Coordinate, assemble and distribute materials and requests in virtual data rooms for asset dispositions, appraisals or refinancings
  • Contribute to asset management, FP&A, data science, and related initiatives

Ideal Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant asset management, FP&A, or portfolio management experience in the real estate sector; self-storage experience a plus, but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics or related field
  • Knowledgeable of real estate budgets, financial statements, analysis, terminology, and familiar with budget/reporting processes
  • Strong financial, analytical, critical thinking and computer skills, with advanced knowledge in Excel
  • Must possess excellent written, verbal and quantitative communication skills  
  • Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks, manage time effectively, prioritize projects and work with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and partner with internal colleagues and cross-functional groups

Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000
