Accounting Associate - Real Estate Development

ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE – REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT

DESCRIPTION:

We are currently seeking a full or part-time associate experienced in real estate accounting and/or asset management.  Our firm focuses on the industrial sector in Phoenix, Arizona and currently has construction and asset management projects.  Required hours would be 25-40 hours / week, paid on a contract basis, based on current project load. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage pay application process on monthly construction draws.
• Monthly reporting for ownership and equity partners.
• Work with lenders on lien waivers and construction draws process.
• Oversee accounting and budgeting for investment projects.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and financial records.
• Underwrite new project opportunities for debt and equity using waterfall proforma structures.

SKILLS:

• Degree in accounting, finance, real estate or economics preferred.
• 3+ years of accounting or financial analyst in real estate industry.
• Working knowledge of real estate accounting software – Yardi or similar preferred.
• Strong background of general accounting principles and reporting.
• Able to work 2-3 days / week in our Scottsdale, AZ office.
