Montana Avenue Capital Partners is a real estate investment, management, and development company headquartered in Los Angeles, California.  The Company manages real property investments on behalf of high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutional investors. 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual for an in-person position in our Los Angeles office.  The ideal candidate would have 2-5 years of professional work experience in public accounting and the real estate industry.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The role includes full-charge bookkeeping, review of monthly property management reports and supporting schedules such as depreciation and amortization, accounting for purchases and sales of real estate, private equity fund accounting, and assisting with the preparation of tax workpapers, audit workpapers and reports.  Job duties also include some asset management responsibilities, such as assisting with construction tracking and related loan draws, preparation of reports for capital partners and investors, review tenant financials, among others.

Skills & Competencies

• BS/BA with a major in accounting is required
• Minimum 2 years of audit experience in public accounting in real estate industry and private equity funds
• Significant experience with Excel / Word / FV GAAP
• Multi-tiers partnership accounting and basic partnership taxation knowledge is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Good analytical, verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
