Asset Management

The Opportunity:

Maverick Real Estate Partners LLC (“Maverick”) is seeking an Analyst to join its growing Asset Management Team. This position will report directly to the General Counsel.  Maverick is a private equity fund manager with over $350 million in assets under management that acquires commercial mortgages secured by real estate in New York City.

Responsibilities:

• Create and apply systematic processes to improve asset management
• Analyze and report on detailed provisions of mortgage loan documents
• Coordinate with Investments Team to source new investments utilizing proprietary data analytics
• Participate in repositioning, operations, and disposition of property
• Oversee attorneys to ensure business plan execution
• Facilitate settlements and restructuring of investments
• Calculate loan payoff amounts and respond to requests for payoff letters
• Draft correspondence to borrowers, attorneys and other counterparties
• Support General Counsel in development and execution of complex legal strategies

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a top tier university achieving academic excellence
• Demonstrated interest in New York City real estate
• Systematic problem solver
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Self-starter with tenacity and an entrepreneurial mindset
• Detail oriented, highly organized, and ability to multitask

Compensation will include a competitive base salary, annual bonus, and 401(k) plan with match. Intensive training program. Potential for equity in Maverick's private equity funds.
